Underlying our technological development is our commitment to customer satisfaction. Our R&D is supported by a system that correlates information gathered from customers and shares it with our sales, development, production and quality assurance departments to ensure that customer requirements are met immediately. We combine our four core technologies — wire drawing technology, wire forming technology, torque technology and coating technology — according to the requirements of each customer. In so doing, we are developing new products and establishing unique brands that contribute greatly to the advancement of society. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction means that we are just as concerned about the materials we use in our products as we are about their design and construction. This concern has taken us to the most upstream position possible. Not only do we source, select, and process our own materials to ensure maximum quality, we have built an advanced consistent in-house production system to optimize utilization of those materials. Even so, we are never satisfied. We continue to search for even better lubricant and coating resin materials and to look for new ways to enhance our production facilities and inspection equipment. The Osaka R&D Center plays an important role as an R&D facility to support the company’s production system in the area of materials. The center carries out development of high-performance wire rope, and materials such as stainless steel and resin. It also researches materials to support the development of the products for less-invasive treatment, while developing next-generation advanced delivery devices.
