To meet the wide range of customers' requirements, ASAHI INTECC has constructed an integrated in-house production system that covers everything from selection and treatment of raw materials to sterilization of final products. All production is based on our proprietary core technologies of wire drawing, wire forming, torque improvement and coating.

ASAHI INTECC uses its proprietary wire drawing technology to produce the ultra-thin stainless wires used in its products, such as the braids in wire ropes, coils, guidewires and catheter tubes. In the wire drawing process, the stainless material is drawn to "thinner-than-hair" thinness by a part called the die. The die has a hole fabricated with diamond at the center, and the diamond wears through use. ASAHI INTECC repairs the worn die in house and maintains the integrity of the die shape to ensure the highest precision when of our ultra-thin wires. The advantage of in-house wire drawing also enables ASAHI INTECC to develop high-tension wires that go far beyond the JIS standards.

ASAHI INTECC's wire forming technology allows us to form wires into various shapes - such as the wire ropes made by stranding ultra-thin wires, coils attached to the distal tips of guidewires, and braids of catheter tubes - at the micrometric scale. This proprietary technology is the foundation of many of our products.

"How to transmit the rotation at the proximal end to the distal tip in real time." This issue is essential in determining the operability of medical devices such as guidewires, catheters, and endoscopic accessories. Using its proprietary processing facilities and special torque technology, ASAHI INTECC has succeeded in developing wires with ideal rotation tracking ability. The high maneuverability of these medical devices is recognized in Japan and around the world.

ASAHI INTECC also has advanced coating technology including PTFE and hydrophilic polymer coating for various products including wires, coils and tubes.
